Historic Railway and other Vehicles
Taking photos from historic steam railway engines is a fascinating subject. The "discrete technology" - pipes, tubes, high pressure cylinders or spoke wheels is nowadays the reason why many people are attending the big exhibitions e.g. in the "Betriebswerke" or join special train rides.
Watching the hard work on fishing boats and -trawlers or the metal work in ship yards is something that has always attracted me during my journeys to the North. And whenever you see a leaving fishing boat in the late afternoon with the light of the setting sun, you understand the beauty of this theme.
Completely different but no less productive as a photografic subject is the beauty of motorcycles that we know from our childhood and when we first dreamed about owning a motorbike. A few of them are known from their unique design like e.g. a BMW R100 S or the Honda CB 750 four.
