Born in the North-Western Region of Germany, I started my business-career in the healthcare. Working in medical science for the first 8 years, then moving to hospital management and after another decade continuing in healthcare consulting across the globe. Already in the early 80s, I bought my first Nikon camera. The fascination in photography was set and luckily there was always a possibility given to combine my global business journeys with my passion in photography.
Through the years photography became increasingly ambitious and while trying various subjects, I am now focusing on landscape-, motorsports and objects photography. I am still not and will not become a professional but intend to further develop my capabilities. Grown up and living in the North, I always intended to capture the beauty of my home region as well as the coastal landscape in Scandinavian countries and there are still things to discover.

After photographing with Nikon and Olympus (travel photography) for years, I made a complete switch to Sony Alpha camera equipment 5 years ago. Reason for this is -besides many more- the high sensitivity of sensor technology (astro/available light-photography) combined with low signal to noise ratio. Also, Sony and Sigma lenses perfectly fit to my needs, particularly in landscape and sports photography.
Having tried out various equipment for carrying cameras, lenses and accessories, I finally became a fan of Mind-shift camera cases, back packs and filter hive. Even in rough environment, protection of gear is secured. A very useful piece is the Nitecor electric blower to always keep lenses clean and remove sensor-dust carefully.
* I don't use graduated filters as they are often used to alter image colour. My intention, however, is to keep or enhance the real colour spectrum of my images

I never use or will use generative functions in the sense of adding AI-generated objects or structures to my fotos. This restriction is and will always be essential in my work as a photographer.
